'Having enjoyed Mark's teaching and classes for some four years now, I have always found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
The benefits of Tai Chi may not always be outwardly apparent but I have found it to be a useful tool and practice for inner fitness, flow and just knowing yourself better; towards total well-
Internal energy benefits aside, classes have certainly helped with working out the grey cells and brain plasticity, when attempting to learn the moves or forms!'
"Happy to say that Mark has proved to be a real inspiration in helping me follow the aspects of Tai Chi and Qi Gong that he demonstrates at his weekly classes. I have been attending classes in Holmes Chapel and Sandbach for the past two years and have found that the exercise programme and formal training that he offers are ideally suited to my advancing years!
The courses are run methodically, allowing individuals to participate at their own pace. Mark takes care to ensure that formal learning is re-
I have found that Tai Chi helps me keep more supple and active and is also a gentle form of relaxation; it helps improve strength, poise and posture, balance and movement and can be recommended for young and old alike. So glad to have found a programme that is so rewarding!"
Over the several years I have attended his class, I find the two hours with Mark just what I need to keep my body ticking over. He makes it interesting, changing the Qi Gong and supporting exercise regime from time to time while maintaining the emphasis on the various Chen Forms.
It has been an enjoyable way to achieve an effective, relaxing work-
There is an added benefit, as he is a trained Acupuncturist, he is very attentive to any medical problems I have now and again.
Mark's classes are well structured for the beginner as well as intermediate students progressing at rates that suit the small groups. The Qi gong session is a well worthwhile exercise or warm up session.
Mark is attentive to detail and takes time to assist all students when they are making mistakes. My only regret is that work has prevented me getting to the classes.
It helps to keep me fit and supple and gets rid of some of the aches and pains associated with getting older.
You can easily practice at home.
Good for keeping the mind active.
Plus it is good fun.
I thoroughly enjoyed learning the Chen style 18 short form with you and continue to practice almost daily.
Your approach was calm and informative and allows each participant to work at their own pace without feeling intimidated.
The only reason I stopped coming to classes was because I moved to Cyprus.
'For me Tai Chi is an escape from everyday hassles and stresses. Putting a little time aside to go through the exercises may seem fruitless at first, but after a few months i found my mind throwing away all the pointless junk and allowing me to concentrate on what is really important and fulfilling. I feel calmer, more decisive and more positive. Tai Chi has eaten into my life in a positive way -
The physical benefits mean that my legs no longer twitch when i am asleep, and i can get in and out of the car without making that silly sighing noise that i used to do.
As for Mark and his teaching style, why not give his classes a try -
